Columbia Fall Engagement session

Getting engaged is one of life's most exciting and meaningful milestones. It's a moment that symbolizes the promise of a lifelong journey of love and companionship. Whether you're the one popping the question or the lucky person on the receiving end, the magic of getting engaged is an experience like no other.

We picked two spots for Douglas and Rebecca’s engagement session with a purpose behind them both. The first stop was somewhere indoors where they could get some photos of them being themselves and hanging out. They wanted to do something other than outdoor photos, and I was so excited when we found this little spot. The big windows, the cool walls. It was the perfect location.

I purposely chose to share the black and white images from the the first stop because I felt like it told the story a little better. Also, there’s just something about a good black and white photo. I want you to pay attention to their outfits here because they are about to change. This is a perfect example of how your outfit can set the whole vibe of your session.

So we got those really awesome bar/restaurant shots and then we made our way down to the State House, where they freaking killed it!! The lighting was perfect, they were perfect, the whole thing was perfect.

Getting engaged is an exciting time, and I’m so happy that Douglas and Rebecca trusted me to capture all of these special moments. It was so wonderful spending the afternoon with them and getting to know them. Their love is just as beautiful as they are and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
