Adrian & Alana’s Summer Wedding at The Gin on 391

Some wedding days follow tradition. Others write their own rules.

Alana and Adrian chose the second option. Before a single guest walked into The Gin on 391 for their May wedding day, they were already husband and wife. In one of the best surprises we've ever experienced, these two had quietly tied the knot a year earlier. Their day at The Gin wasn't about making it official—it was about finally celebrating with the people who have loved and supported them every step of the way.

There was something incredibly relaxed about the entire day. Every smile, every hug, every laugh felt genuine because there wasn't a countdown to the ceremony or nerves about saying "I do." They had already promised forever to one another.

This day was simply about celebrating that promise.

It gave everyone permission to soak in every moment—from spending time with their wedding party to dancing the night away—without feeling rushed.

Alana and Adrian leaned into a timeless black-and-white color palette that perfectly complemented the industrial elegance of The Gin on 391.

Their wedding party looked incredible dressed entirely in black, creating a bold contrast against Alana's stunning gown. The clean, sophisticated styling made every portrait feel editorial while still feeling effortlessly authentic.

The reception space was equally breathtaking. Cascading white florals and lush greenery stretched across the ceiling, transforming the venue into what felt like a modern garden suspended overhead. Soft candlelight, crisp white linens, and black napkins tied everything together for a look that was elegant, romantic, and just a little dramatic—in all the right ways.

Every detail worked together without feeling overdone, creating a space that felt both luxurious and welcoming.

This doesn’t happen alllll the time, but when we had the chance to enter the reception space before guests took over, we had to do some portraits!

One of our favorite portraits from the day happened beneath Alana's veil.

As the light filtered through the fabric, the two shared a quiet kiss that felt completely removed from everything else happening around them. Those are the moments we love most. Not because they're perfectly posed, but because they're real. We absolutely loved the twist that this wedding brought. Marriage isn't just about a ceremony. It's about the life you build together afterward. Alana and Adrian had already spent time doing exactly that before inviting everyone they love to celebrate alongside them. It was a reminder that there isn't one "right" way to have a wedding. Whether you elope first, host a celebration later, or do everything in one day, your wedding should reflect your story.

And this one was uniquely theirs.

Congratulations, Alana & Adrian!

Thank you both for trusting us to document such a meaningful chapter in your story. Being part of a celebration that was filled with so much joy, laughter, and genuine love was something we'll never forget.

Congratulations and cheers to a lifetime of celebrations still to come.
