Twelve Oaks Estate | Reece’s Bridal Session
There are so many reasons we love a good bridal session, and Reece’s at Twelve Oaks Estate was the perfect reminder of every single one of them.
A bridal session gives you the chance to slow down, put on the dress you spent months dreaming about, and actually enjoy being a bride without the timeline of a wedding day ticking away in the background. And we will never say no to an extra opportunity for gorgeous bridal portraits.
Reece looked absolutely stunning. With the beautiful grounds and greenery at Twelve Oaks as our backdrop, we were able to take our time creating portraits that felt timeless, colorful, and completely true to her.
And because South Carolina weather likes to keep things interesting, the rain decided to make an appearance right in the middle of our session.
Instead of letting it end our evening, we simply adjusted. We took advantage of the covered areas around Twelve Oaks, kept shooting, and waited for the rain to give us a break. It’s such a good reminder that a little unexpected weather doesn’t have to ruin your photos—or even change how beautiful the final gallery feels.
That’s also one of the things we love about bridal sessions: there’s room to breathe. There’s no ceremony waiting to start or reception timeline to keep moving. We can work with whatever the day gives us and still create something beautiful.
Beyond the photos, a bridal session is also the perfect opportunity to see your entire bridal look come together before the wedding day—from the dress and hair to the makeup, jewelry, shoes, and bouquet. You get to see how everything photographs, figure out if there’s anything you want to adjust, and, most importantly, actually wear that incredible dress for more than one day!
Reece’s session may have given us a little sunshine and a little rain, but the end result was a gallery full of beautiful portraits of her before she officially became Mrs. Free.
And looking through these? We’d say the rain didn’t stand a chance. 🤍
