Forest Lake Club Wedding in Columbia, SC | Eastminster Presbyterian Ceremony | Claire & Jacob
Claire and Jacob’s wedding day is one I had been looking forward to for so long—and not in the usual way. I’ve actually been excited about this one since the most unexpected moment… I just so happened to be in the shop the day Claire said yes to the dress. Our paths crossed in such a random, meant-to-be kind of way, and from that moment on, I just knew this wedding was going to be something special.
And it absolutely was.
From the start, working with Claire and Jacob (and their families) was such a joy. The kind of people who instantly make you feel comfortable, like you’ve known them forever. It made documenting their wedding day feel that much more meaningful.
Now let’s talk about the wedding day itself—because whew, it was cold. The kind of cold that has you questioning your life choices for about five seconds… until you see the way these two look at each other. Because despite the chill in the air, this day was overflowing with warmth, love, and so much intention. You could feel it in every hug, every laugh, every quiet in-between moment.
Let’s take a quick moment for Claire and her daddy’s first look. She wanted to surprise him, but I think he may have surprised her more!
They were married at Eastminster Presbyterian on Trenholm Road, and their ceremony was nothing short of timeless. The church itself is stunning—classic architecture, soft light pouring through the windows, and that quiet, reverent atmosphere that just makes everything feel a little more meaningful. The church does require photographers to remain in the back to fully respect the ceremony, and honestly, it only added to the experience—allowing everything to unfold naturally and beautifully without distraction. As Claire walked down the aisle, there was this collective pause… the kind that gives you chills. Every moment felt intentional and sacred, the perfect reflection of who they are. And we made sure to honor every guideline, leaving with happy church coordinators—which always feels like a little gold star moment.
And the photos? Yeah… straight fire. 🔥
Like, the kind of images that make you do a double take while editing because HOW are they this good?
After their ceremony, everyone made their way to Forest Lake Club for a reception that can only be described as an absolute party. The day may have been cold, but you would never know it by the energy in that room. It was warm, joyful, and so full of life.
Before we jump into the party photos, let’s just admire this quick little escape we made during the reception. Three minutes max, but pure magic.
The dance floor stayed packed, the energy never dipped, and every single person showed up ready to celebrate Claire and Jacob the way they deserved. It was one of those receptions where you look around and think, this is exactly what a wedding should feel like.
Because honestly… if you’re not having that much fun at your reception… what are you even doing?
Claire and Jacob, I’m so thankful our paths crossed the way they did. Your day was unforgettable in every sense, and it was such an honor to capture it all.
