Beautiful Spring Wedding at Millstone at Adams pond

There are wedding days that feel like something out of a dream—and Kelsy and Dierick’s March wedding at The Millstone at Adams Pond was exactly that. From the moment the sun peeked through the mossy oaks and sparkled across the pond, it was clear this was going to be one of those days you never forget.

The air was crisp but warm, filled with the sweet promise of spring. Kelsy looked radiant in her modern yet timeless gown, featuring one of this year’s biggest trends—a statement bow. The oversized detail added such a fun, fashion-forward twist to her bridal look, while still feeling elegant and classic. Dierick was equally stylish in a rich burgundy suit that stood out beautifully against the natural greenery of the venue. Together, they were the perfect picture of spring wedding style: fresh, bold, and entirely them.

And of course, Dierick had to incorporate their fur babies! Which were also sprinkled over their decor.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was their decision to do a first look. As soon as they saw each other, all the nerves melted away. It was such a sweet, quiet moment in the midst of an otherwise bustling day—and it gave them the chance to soak each other in, laugh together, and just breathe before the ceremony. Not only did it calm their nerves, but it also gave them even more time to be together on their wedding day, which made everything feel even more intentional and special.

And what would a wedding day be if there wasn’t a quick visit from the fire station?!

Sometimes, there’s just no hiding how in love a couple is—and you could see it written all over their faces. Every glance, every smile, every tear held so much meaning.

There’s no sunset like an Adams Pond sunset!

Their reception was just as joyful and heartfelt. String lights twinkled overhead as laughter echoed across the patio. Guests danced under the stars, celebrating a couple whose love is genuine and grounded. The florals, fresh and delicate, added the perfect pop of color, and every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect their personalities.

One of the things I love most about photographing weddings at The Millstone is the way it effortlessly blends elegance and nature. It’s romantic without being overdone, southern without being too rustic. And for Kelsy and Dierick, it provided the perfect backdrop to begin their forever.

This venue holds a particularly special place in my heart—not just because it’s beautiful, but because it’s where Greg and I said “I do.” Being back at The Millstone always brings back the sweetest memories, and getting to capture love stories like Kelsy and Dierick’s in the same place we began ours is truly such a gift
