Charleston Engagement Session
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to finally blog Laura and Clay’s Charleston engagement session because it was truly one of my favorite evenings. There’s just something about Charleston that slows everything down in the best way — the breeze off the harbor, the sound of the water, the historic charm around every corner — and it could not have been a more perfect backdrop for these two.
We spent the evening wandering through the beautiful waterfront areas of downtown Charleston, soaking in golden light and all the little moments in between. One of the highlights of the evening was exploring around the iconic fountains at Waterfront Park, where the harbor breeze and waterfront views made everything feel relaxed and romantic.
From there, we made our way through some of Charleston’s most charming streets before stopping by the colorful homes of Rainbow Row. The soft pastel homes created the dreamiest backdrop for their photos and added so much personality and Charleston charm to the session. Between the historic architecture, cobblestone streets, and quiet little corners we found along the way, every part of the evening felt straight out of a movie.
As the sun started to dip lower over the harbor, the city seemed to glow around us. We walked along the waterfront, stopped beneath the palms, and captured some of my favorite images of the evening as the light reflected off the water behind them. It felt timeless — the kind of session that perfectly reflects not only a place, but a season of life they’ll always want to remember.
Laura and Clay, thank you both for such a fun evening together. Charleston showed off for us, but the two of you made the session truly special. I already know your wedding day is going to be filled with just as much joy, laughter, and love as this sweet evening in Charleston.
